ABOUT
I design thoughtful experiences that help people do their best work.
I’m Chris Leatham, a senior UX designer working at the intersection of research, product strategy, and craft. Over the last decade, I’ve helped teams turn complex problems into experiences people can understand, trust, and use.
01
Designing experiences, not just interfaces
The best work starts upstream, in how customer needs, business goals, and product decisions connect. I help teams see that bigger picture.
02
Empowering the people I work with
Good design is a team sport. I make room for different perspectives, share work early, and help people find confidence in the process.
03
Building from curiosity
Curiosity is the engine. I ask questions, make small experiments, and follow the unexpected connections that lead to more thoughtful products.
MY STORY
A career shaped by making things, asking better questions, and learning alongside good people. Here are a few chapters along the way.
2016
Started my design journey
My story started with a fascination for how things work. Early experiments in visual design and the web taught me to learn by making. I started a career as a UX designer and graphic designer.

2017
Graduated the University of Washington
I received my degree from the University of Washington in Informatics with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction. I went on to continue my passion in UX design by working with companies to innovate solutions for users.
2020
Designing at scale
As products and teams grew, I focused on connecting experiences across journeys. I learned to pair thoughtful craft with clear principles and strong cross-functional relationships. I went on to work for Microsoft in their AI department. This was before LLMs were commercially available.

Present
Looking to the future
Today, I’m looking for meaningful problems and people who care about the work. I’m continuing to explore, share what I learn, and help teams build experiences that make a difference. I have experience in customer facing, public facing, enterprise, and data dense interfaces. I have also been designing AI experiences and agentic workflows to help push technology and users to their full potential. I live in Seattle, Washington. I have a passion for travel, reading comic books, and I am obsessed with my dog Donut.
LET’S WORK TOGETHER
I’m available for UX design and leadership roles, thoughtful collaborations, and conversations about building better digital experiences.
